Prescott National Forest names new supervisor

PRESCOTT, AZ (AP) -

The Prescott National Forest has a new supervisor.

Teresa Chase starts in the job on Sept. 23, overseeing the 1.25 million-acre forest.

Chase began her career with the U.S. Forest Service on the Idaho Panhandle National Forest. Most recently, she served as deputy supervisor of the Mark Twain National Forest in Rolla, Miss.

Chase replaces Tom Torres, who has been acting supervisor of the Prescott National Forest since April.

She and her husband have two children who attend college in Michigan.
