PHOENIX (CBS5) -

U.S. Highway 191 in the Four Corners region has been closed due to flooding.

The highway is closed in both directions just north of the community of Rock Point, about 20 miles south of the Arizona/Utah border, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Alternate north-south routes between Interstate 40 and Utah include U.S. 89 northbound in Flagstaff. About 60 miles north of Flagstaff, U.S. 160 leads drivers northeast toward the Four Corners region.

Another detour includes U.S. 491 in New Mexico, which connects with I-40 in Gallup, NM.

There is no estimated time to reopen U.S. 191.
