COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - For the fourth consecutive year, Columbus State University has been named on the Military Friendly Schools list, which honors the top 20% of U.S. colleges and trade schools in the country that do the most to embrace active military members, veterans, and spouses.
The list is gathered annually by Victory Media.
"Inclusion on the 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools shows Columbus State's commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students," said Sean Collins, Victory Media vice president and a nine-year Navy veteran. "The need for education is growing and our mission is to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools."
Now in its fifth year, the 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools was compiled by surveying more than 10,000 schools nationwide that approved for Veteran Affairs tuition funding.
