COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

According to Columbus Police, a home on Mason Street was raided for drugs on around 6 p.m. on Friday, September 13.

Police say they were serving a search warrant for drugs at the home. The raid was prompted by several calls to police from concerned neighbors in the area who say the home has heavy drug and alcohol traffic.

Undercover agents and CPD were the scene where the home was roped-off with crime scene tape.

Captain Gill Slouchick with Columbus Police Vice Squad tells us that police have arrested 29-year-old Rodrick Johnson for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Agents recovered a pound of marijuana at the home on Mason Street. Captain Slouchick says that the arrest is the result of a two-month investigation.

Police were led to the known party house after getting several complaints from neighbors.

Curtis McCloud is following this developing story and will provide more information as it becomes available.
