TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

The Valley's most famous feline had good reason to smile, and her seemingly permanent scowl doesn't mean she's not happy to see you.

Grumpy Cat had dozens of fans lining up to get their picture taken with her during a signing for her new book Sunday at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, AZ.

The signing came on the heels of the internet sensation's endorsement deal with Friskies last week.

But it was the new book that drew people in droves to see Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce.

Picture requests were not the only comments Grumpy Cat's owner Tabatha Bundesen heard at the popular bookstore.

"'I wish I could pet her,' or, 'I love your cat,' or, 'You're so lucky,'" Bundesen said. "I do feel lucky."

The literary work is called Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book and it's been out about a month now.

The book teaches the art of "grumpiness," Bundesen said, and it is already a New York Times bestseller.
