WICKENBURG, AZ (CBS5) -

The Wickenburg Police Department was honored for its partnership with a local arts organization and for the anti-DUI efforts of one of its officers.

The department's Cops Who Care charity was given the Outstanding Sponsor/Partnership Award from Arizona Talent in Event Concepts (AzTEC) for its "CSI: Oz" program at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts' Camp Imagination.

Camp Imagination is a two-week summer arts program for children entering first through 12th grades. Following the camp's The Wizard of Oz theme, the CSI: Oz class combined crime scene investigation techniques with arts education.

Motorcycle Officer Aaron Hadley was recognized as the department's DUI Officer of the Year by the Arizona Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Hadley was nominated for his aggressive enforcement of DUI laws, according to a department news release.

He is active in the West Valley DUI Task Force and serves as the Wickenburg Police Department's Field Training Coordinator.

Both awards were presented Sept. 20.
