TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police are looking for the thugs they say attacked and robbed an 89-year-old woman.

Larry Yingling wasn't home when the thieves hit his apartment Sunday evening, but his elderly grandmother was. The robbers punched her in the face and went through the apartment looking for valuables.

"They hit my mom," Yingling said. "Took everything. Took her purse, her jewelry box, tore up my room, her room."

But according to police, Yingling's apartment was just one of three that were violently broken into. The suspects kicked in doors and pointed a gun at at least one other resident. It all happened around 5:30 Sunday evening.

Police say they have not made any arrests yet, but are making the case a top priority.

"They've been out here daily asking me questions," Yingling said.

And he says he hopes police are able to find those responsible soon.

"If not, I don't know what the heck is going to happen," he said. "Hopefully they don't try to hit nobody else's house up."
