Ala., Ga. students partake in “See You at the Pole” event

(WTVM) -

Students all over Georgia and Alabama woke up a bit early Wednesday to participate in the annual "See You at the Pole" prayer event.

News Leader 9 caught up with some students at Northside High in Columbus as they came together to pray at the school's flagpole.

The nationwide event is held on the fourth Wednesday of September each year.

Students are asked to meet at the flagpole to pray for their school, family, fellow students and the future.

This independent event began in Texas in 1990.
