FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5) -

Two people were slightly injured when the helicopter in which they were riding tipped over on landing in northern Arizona on Wednesday morning.

Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration said the Robinson R44 helicopter with four people on board took off from Falcon Field in Mesa for a private ranch about 12 miles northwest of Flagstaff.

Gregor said the rented helicopter tipped over on its left side as it landed about 9:30 a.m. off of Forest Service Road 171.

Coconino County Sheriff's Office spokesman Gerald Blair said investigators believe heavy wind caused the pilot to lose control about 20 feet above ground.

The pilot had "minor" injuries that did not need medical attention, according to Blair. Two of the passengers complained of shoulder pain and were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center by Guardian Medical Transport. The forth person was not hurt.

The group was headed to a shooting event at C and C Ranch.

The CCSO along with the FAA and NTSB continue to investigate.
