Fallen officer honored 19 years after death

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

It was a solemn day as the "Columbus Against Drugs" group gathered on Sept. 26 to honor the memory of fallen police officer Ed Osborne.

Candles were lit in Osborne's honor. There was also music from a piper who played "Green Hills of Tyrol" and the singing of the song "Amazing Grace".

The President of "Columbus Against Drugs" described the type of man Ed Osborne was.

In 1994, Osborne was killed in the line of duty. He was driving a 15-year-old boy home when the teenager shot him in the head.
