COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

More than 5 million people in the United States have Alzheimer's, and Friday evening people across the valley lined up to help fight the deadly disease with no known cure.

The Columbus Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening now in Uptown.

The two-mile walk began at 6:20 p.m. Friday evening along the RiverWalk and will end at a concert where everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the family friendly entertainment.
