Boyfriend of Annie Belle Jarrett charged with murder

The boyfriend of the former-missing woman Annie Belle Jarrett, whose body was later found in a shallow grave, has been charged with her murder. 

Jarrett was reported missing on Sept. 16. A body was uncovered in a shallow ditch near a baseball field in Warm Springs on Sept. 18. On Sept. 20, Jarrett's family identified that body as hers.

Her boyfriend, Sylvester Sherman, was previously charged with possessing a gun as a convicted felon, and was also a suspect in the case. He is being held in the Harris County Jail.

A cause of death is not yet known.
