BAILEY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Lauderdale County authorities have made a second arrest in the shallow graves case. Fifty-two year old Connie McAllister is charged with accessory after the fact of murder. Her bond is set at $200-thousand.

Fifty-year-old Carl Wesley Bell was arrested last week on the same charge. Bell is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigators say he lived next door the home where remains were found Thursday morning. The sheriff's department has not released whether it's searching for other suspects.

Bond is set at half a million dollars for each count of accessory after the fact and 10-thousand for possession of a firearm by a felon.

Bell was quickly discovered when investigators realized he owned the mobile home where Algene Grant, one of the suspected victims, lived. And it was something in that mobile home that raised their suspicion.

Sheriff Billy Sollie said what they found led them to believe that there had been a violent act inside the mobile home and that caused them to refine their search.

After broadening their search to trails in the woods behind the house, one of the investigators stumbled upon what appeared to be a human bone, leading them to the discovery of the graves.
