The man accused of killing Isle of Hope firefighter Wesley Franklin is scheduled for an arraignment on Oct. 28.
Brandon Mackey has already been indicted in connection with the June 25, 2012, death of Wesley Franklin during an armed robbery outside Deb's Pub & Grub on Norwood Avenue.
Mackey was brought to the Chatham County Detention Center after being extradited from Texas.
A Chatham County grand jury indicted Mackey in July on felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault and several other charges in connection with the killing.
The trial is scheduled to start in March 2014.
