PALMETTO, GA (CBS46) -

The Palmetto Police Department arrested a man accused of impersonating a police officer.

Police said Paul Michael Libri was employed as a private investigator by the family of a missing juvenile from Palmetto.

According to reports, Libri wore a police uniform, including a badge, handgun, handcuffs and radio.

He also drove a car that was once a patrol car and affixed items to the vehicle to make it appear that it was still a law enforcement vehicle.

According to reports, Libri performed two traffic stops and asked for personal information.

Police continue to investigate this case. Officers are concerned as to how many other people Libri had encountered.

Contact Sgt. Lee Gragg of the Palmetto Police Department at 770-463-9068 to report any information.
