Athens peeping Tom getting more brazen

ATHENS, GA (CBS46) -

Athens-Clarke County Police officers patrolled Westchester Drive for much of the day Thursday, as they continue to look for a man who has reportedly been caught looking into women's windows at nearby apartment complexes.

Police said they've gotten at least four reports of the man peering in windows - the latest incidents happened to the same woman on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4. Police said the woman, who lives in the Westside Heights apartment complex, said she had just gotten out of the shower and was in a towel when she saw the man looking at her. The woman told police the man later knocked on her door and started talking to her, but she didn't understand what he said because she doesn't know English well.

Police said it is a concern that the man appears to have gone from looking into windows, to going up to women's doors and trying to talk to them.

Jordyne Hobleman, a University of Georgia student, lives in the apartments and said that she's started keeping her blinds closed.

"Not being from here, I texted my mom asking her if I should be worried about moving," Hobleman said. "She told me I should have everything out of my car that's important and doors and windows locked."

Police are offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information on the man. Call Crimestoppers at (404) 577-TIPS.
