DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Water has been restored to 500 customers who were without it early Friday due to a water main break.

Crews worked to repair the 12-inch water main break in DeKalb County on Covington Highway between Hillvale Road and DeKalb Medical Parkway.

The water was shut off between DeKalb Medical Parkway and Phillips Road as repairs were made.

One lane of traffic is open both ways on Covington Highway until about 10 p.m. Friday night.

Crews plan to return early next week to lay asphalt.
