SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Many senior citizen services are being restored that were impacted by the federal government's partial shutdown.

On Friday, furloughed employees with Concerted Services Center in Statesboro returned to work and the center returned to regular operation.

Many things were affected over the past few weeks including transportation, Meals on Wheels and activities.

The concerted services energy assistance, which subsidizes electric bills for hundreds of seniors in 28 counties, is still in jeopardy. No word yet it if it will be restored.
