FD: Woman stung after bee hive hit in crash

SURPRISE, AZ (CBS5) -

A bee attack started with a car crash in Surprise Wednesday morning.

Surprise Fire Department spokeswoman Autry Cheatham said a crash near Goldwater Canyon Drive and West Limestone Drive disturbed a bee hive causing the bees to sting a woman before swarming onto a nearby golf course.

The woman was taken to Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center to be treated.

Emergency responders are evaluating people on the golf course for injuries.
