PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Peoria police took three people into custody in connection with a shooting outside an apartment complex at 95th Avenue and Olive.

A 26-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition Thursday afternoon, police said.

According to officers, the suspect and victim got into some kind of altercation and both reached for guns.

As police released more information, it was learned the 9-month-old baby was in the apartment away from the incident.

Umar Ibrahim, 19, and Brittany Fletcher-Prager, 26, were both arrested for aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery and burglary.

A third suspect called 911 in the wake of the incident and told the dispatcher he was involved, officers said. The 23-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound and police say he'll likely face similar charges.
