Phenix City police searching for high speed chase suspects

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Phenix City Police are searching for three suspects after a high speed chase crossed the state line into Georgia.

It all started as a traffic stop around 4:00 a.m. in Phenix City.

Police say three males were inside a pick up truck when they took off which led police on the pursuit into Columbus.

According to police, two of the suspects jumped out of the truck near Church's Chicken on Brown Avenue. 

The driver of the truck drove to St. Mary's Road before losing control of the vehicle near St. Mary's Magnet Academy. Police say the driver also jumped out of the truck and then fled on foot.
