Petal resident searching for son

"I want my son back."

Christopher Bingham has not seen his three-year-old son Christian for more than a month.

"I don't know his health, I don't know where he is, I don't know if he has eaten good," said Bingham.

Bingham said he believes his son is with his mother, who lives in Jones County.

"I haven't seen CHristian since September 19th when I dropped him off for a visit," said Bingham. "It was supposed to be a week-long visit and I was supposed to get him back on the 26th, but she didn't show."

According to authorities, an arrest warrant has been issued for the child's mother. Bingham has been posting flyers around the area in hopes of having an Amber Alert issued.

"It is unfair for me to have custody of my son, and I don't have him, but I have to sit back and take it," said Bingham.

For now, Bingham hopes his son will be returned to him soon.

Officials are working with Bingham on the case matter, and the District Attorney nor Jones County Sheriff's office have said whether the charge will be for kidnapping.

"The child belongs where he is going to get the best change at a good life, and it's not going to be with her," said Bingham.
