Police release vehicle, possible suspect description in Longview homicide

The Longview Police Department now have a description of a vehicle that may have been used in an October 14 homicide.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen an early 2000's model Chevrolet Suburban or similar SUV parked near the 1000 block of Sabine Street on October 13 to contact them. The SUV may be burgundy in color with double rear doors.

Witnesses told investigators that a Hispanic male was seen leaving the woods near the vehicle that day.

Police discovered the body of 40-year-old Maria Raquel Johnson near a small creek in southwest Longview off of Sabine Street. Officers were investigating a suspicious activity call near the area at 1:42 p.m. After completing the assignment, an officer was walking back to his car when something caught his attention. Johnson's body was found lying a short distance away.

Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
