TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Naughton's Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, in partnership with the Salvation Army is holding their Annual Winter Coat and Blanket Drive.

With temperatures dropping, and the increasing number of displaced families on the streets and in shelters, items such as new and used gloves, blankets, and coats are in high demand.

"Not only do the homeless need winter items but due to the economic downturn, we are finding more and more families and elderly in their homes without heat and unable to pay these utilities. Coats and blankets are going to become very important to these people as well," said Shawna Kroh, The Salvation Army Public Relations Director.

Donations can be dropped off at all five Naughton's locations:

North: 1140 W. Prince

South: 4226 S. 6th Ave.

East: 6202 E. Speedway

Southeast: 8190 E. 22nd St.

Northwest: 3936 W. Costco Dr.

These needed winter resources are distributed to anyone in need through The Salvation Army's Hospitality House through March 2014.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Hospitality House, 1021 N. 11th Ave or by calling (520)795-9671.
