Blind motorcycle racer inspires students

A blind motorcycle racer inspired students at Columbus Technical College on Oct. 24.

Dan Parker is a blind machinist and was honored by the National Federation of the Blind as the second blind person to operate a vehicle in public, and the first blind person to race at Bonneville Salt Flats.

The experienced motorcycle enthusiast told students the lessons they learn at CTC can take them a long way and also displayed one of his two-wheeled works of art.
