HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Oakwood University's Department of History and Political Science hosted a seminar in which many students learned about the dangers of bullying Thursday night.

The bullying seminar took place on the campus of Oakwood University. It was presented by Sheriff's Deputy Keith Reed. The purpose of the event was to provide an opportunity to discuss different types of bullying and the dangers of it.

Dr. Samuel London, a professor at Oakwood said, "These are very important topics. Important for the community and for your young people. It's important that we all need to be educated on these dangers that are confronting our society."

Students who attended said the seminar was a good source of information and a big help.

The seminar was free and open to the public.
