COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A Columbus family is seeking justice after a loved one was gunned down.

A vigil was held Sunday night on Winston Road in the place where 27-year-old Terrell Screws was shot and killed Friday Nov. 8.

Police are still looking for the person who fired at least 20 shots at the house, hitting Screws several times in the chest.

The coroner pronounced him dead in the front yard where he was found lying face down.

Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley tells News Leader 9 the preliminary autopsy report shows Terrell Screws was shot multiple times.

The 27-year-old man was shot on Winston Road in South Columbus in the city's twenty-first homicide of the year. Witnesses said they heard 5 shots fired in the street. Dispatchers received the call at about 10:30 p.m.

It's the third time in less than two weeks that police have investigated a shooting within a block of this address.

No arrests have been made.
