MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Peoria Liberty quarterback Tyler Wyatt ran for four scores and threw for two more as the Mountain Lions from The Valley proved they were just a little bit better than the Mountain Lions from Marana in a 57-20 win over Mountain View,

Liberty (8-3) advances to the quarterfinals of the Division II state playoffs where they will return to Tucson next Friday night for a date with top seed Salpointe Catholic. The Lancers easily dispatched of Yuma Cibola 54-7. Mountain View's season ends at 7-4.

Things looked good for the View early when senior running back Richie Estrada did what he has done so many times during his Lions career, run straight up the middle for a 69-yard score.

But Liberty rallied quickly to tie on a 20-yard touchdown run by Wyatt. They grabbed the lead on a 44-yard interception return touchdown by Chad Bennett.

Liberty led 22-14 at the half. Mountain View got back to within two on a fumble return touchdown by Matt Thomas.

But Liberty would run off five straight touchdowns to seal the deal.
