COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Police are searching for a person driving a red Grand Marquis was involved in two early morning crimes.

Police say the suspect shot out the passenger window of a vehicle at a Circle K on South Lumpkin Rd. and forced the driver to hand over the keys.

The victim described the car as a candy red Grand Marquis with 24-inch rims and chrome dual exhaust pipes.

Columbus Police also say that same car was used in a robbery at a Waffle House on Buena Vista Rd.

A man walked into the Waffle House armed with a black revolver and demanded money. Witnesses say the suspect is slim-built, about 5'8-5'10" and he was wearing a black scarf or mask over the bottom of his face.

It's unclear whether or not the suspect got away with any money. Witnesses say he was driving a red Grand Marquis.
