CSU observes Veterans Day with celebration

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Officials at Columbus State University honored veterans at a ceremony on campus Monday.

The program began with the sounding of bells and a color guard presentation of flags.

The ceremony also included the Governor's Proclamation, Soldier's Creed and words from CSU provost Tom Hackett.

"It's a great day to take a moment of silence to reflect on all the service and veteran members both living and deceased," said Lieutenant Colonel Michael Feret. "To honor their memory and the commitment and sacrifices they've made to the country."

Faculty, staff, and students who have served our country were also recognized.
