COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus Police announced Tuesday they may have solved as many as 26 burglaries that all took place in the north Columbus area.

News Leader 9's Dante Renzulli was on the phone with detectives earlier on Tuesday who say they are confident these five arrests will slow down the streak of crimes that have taken place there recently.

We have learned the names of the five men accused of being part of an organized team of burglars who targeted homes in the middle of the day and stole everything they could get their hands on.

The suspects are Demon Moore, Emmanuel Williams, Jacobee Matthews, Laquinton Robinson, and Rickey Henderson.  All of these men are between the ages of 18 and 22 and all are charged with multiple crimes.

Demon Moore, 20, is charged with first degree burglary; possession, manufacture, and distribution of controlled substance; theft by receiving stolen property, and theft by taking a motor vehicle.

Emmanuel Williams, 18, is charged with first degree burglary; possession of less than one ounce of marijuana; possession, manufacture, and distribution of controlled substance; theft by receiving stolen property, and theft by taking a motor vehicle.

Jacobee Matthews, 20, is charged with first degree burglary; possession, manufacture, and distribution of controlled substance; theft by receiving stolen property; theft by taking a motor vehicle; and violation of probation.

Laquinton Robinson, 22, is charged with first degree burglary; possession, manufacture, and distribution of controlled substance; theft by receiving stolen property; theft by taking a motor vehicle, and violation of parole.

Rickey Henderson, 19, is charged with first degree burglary; driving with a suspended/revoked license; obstruction of a law enforcement officer; possession, manufacture, and distribution of controlled substance; theft by receiving stolen property; theft by taking, and theft by taking a motor vehicle.

So far these five men have only appeared in court in connection with one burglary, but police are confident that they will be able to tie them to a minimum of 26.
