Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Hey there, this is Jason Dennis at WTVM. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6!

We're learning more tonight about the death of a married couple found in their Valley home by police. Did one of them commit murder? We'll have the latest on this investigation in a LIVE report from our new East Alabama newsroom.

In the case of a 3rd inmate dying in the last 2 weeks in the Muscogee County jail, the man accused of killing the latest inmate faced a judge today. We hear from the suspect's mother about what she calls her son's mental illness.

Tonight will be the coldest temperature that the Columbus area has felt since last March. As the chilly weather moves in, and as it gets colder next month, we talk to fire dept. officials about how you and your family can stay safe and warm.

And it's GEORGIA GIVES DAY. You only have 7 hour left to give to your favorite non-profit organization in Muscogee County, with nearly 80 in our area competing for thousands of dollars in extra incentives from the state on this special day. As a board member for 2 of these groups, here are links to make it easy for you to give to Columbus Habitat for Humanity: or Family Theatre: Thanks!

Tell your friends, then join us for these stories and more tonight at 5 and 6!

See ya then,

 Jason Dennis
