TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Arts Commission wants to give you a free lift to help promote businesses and artists in downtown Toledo this weekend.

The Holiday Loop event is taking place Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. Free bus rides will be offered to more than 30 venues in the downtown area, to boost exposure for local businesses and artists heading into the holiday shopping season.

Handblown glass peppermint sticks at Gathered Art Gallery and Santa-inspired pottery at the Paula Brown Shop are among the items to check out at the venues along the loop routes.

"It's a way for people to explore all over downtown. Over 30 different venues, galleries, studios, all kinds of local businesses. It's really a way for people to explore the city and find cool gifts for the holiday season," said Ryan Bunch with the Arts Commission.
