COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

With the arrival of the holidays, the urgency for pets to be rescued from Columbus Animal Care and Control is rising. It's up to the community to give these deserving animals homes for the holidays and help the shelter that is now operating at full capacity.

Tag 46 is a young male domestic shorthaired orange and white tabby cat. This sweet boy will be forever loyal and obedient.

Tag 72 is a 6-month old female black Shepherd. She's playful and spirited, but also loves a good scratch behind the ears.

Tag 361 is an adult female domestic shorthaired cat with black and white fur. She is a fantastic pet for anyone looking to save the life of a deserving animal.

Tag 379 is an adult male brown and white Setter. He's already been neutered, and can't wait to go home with his new family.

For more information on how you can help these deserving pets find a home, visit Columbus Animal Care and Control at 4910 Milgen Road or call them at (706) 653-4512. You can also visit their official website
