Auburn Police Department kicks off toy drive campaign

Posted: Updated:
AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

For many years the Auburn Police Department has hosted a toy drive for small children. The drive has grown over the years, and now with your help approximately 150 families in need will be able to give toys to their children.

Captain Lorenza Dorsey spoke to us about the department's Christmas campaign.

Donated toys should be age-appropriate for children between the ages of 3-8. They must also be presented without wrapping.

Toys can be dropped off at any Auburn fire station and Auburn police station. Toys will be collected until the week before Christmas.

If you are a family who would like to qualify to receive toys, the deadline to register is Nov. 20. Families must register at an Auburn police station.
