BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

A Hueytown man has been sentenced for his role in several drug store robberies.

A federal judge sentenced Anthony Young to 18 years in prison Wednesday. Youngs cousins, Willie and Sterling Edwards, pleaded guilty earlier this year to their roles in the robberies.

Authorities say that they trio robbed three drug stores in Ensley, Adamsville and Helena. Cash and controlled substances, such as narcotic painkillers, were taken in all the robberies.
