HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

We tell you all the time, if you want to catch credit card crime, you need to check your balance often.

For one woman, checking it the next day wasn't soon enough.

The thief police say is caught on surveillance video swiping a swiped credit card. This was Sept. 17 at the Walmart in Hampton Cove.

According to the police report, the victim had her card stolen at the Mapco in Hampton Cove. But she didn't realize it until a day later.

By then, the thief had already used that card at the Hampton Cove Walmart as well as the Walmart on South Memorial Parkway.

Unfortunately, we don't get a really clear look at the thief's face. But we do get a fairly good look at him in action, even receiving help from an employee.

We're hoping in addition to the video, this thief has also been doing some talking.

If so, and you know who he is, we'd love for you to do some talking to investigators.

Call 256-53-Crime. You'll remain anonymous.

Or to text or e-mail an anonymous tip, head to our Crime Stoppers page for details.

There's a reward of up to a thousand dollars.
