SPRINGVILLE, AL (WBRC) -

Last Friday we introduced you to 8-year-old Skylar Williams-Bryant. Instead of tossing out his old backpacks he has decided to fill them with goods to give to the homeless this holiday season.

What started with just eight bags may turn into more.

After we aired the story people wanted to help. A local dentist is donating items and Skylar's grandmother is in touch with the local Wal-Mart for donations.

The family has set up donations at Skylar's school, Springville Elementary, as well as the Piggly Wiggly in Ashville.

The drop-off deadline is Dec.15. Skylar plan to drop off the backpacks before Christmas. If you would like to donate you can contact Skylar's mom, Tamille Williams, at tamille.williams@yahoo.com.
