(WTVM) -

Cabbage Patch Kids were once a favorite toy for many children who have now grown-up to have children of their own.

Few fans of the dolls are aware that the small mountain community of Cleveland, Ga. is home of the Cabbage Patch Kids at BabyLand General Hospital.

On Nov. 23, the Cabbage Patch Kids will be continuing a 35 year family tradition by hosting BabyLands Appalachian Christmas with doors open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event includes free gifts for children 12 and under (while supplies last), free horse and carriage rides, and no admission charge to BabyLand, which is filled with hundreds of Cabbage Patch Kids.  There will also be Cabbage Patch Kids costumed characters, strolling carolers and prize drawings.

In the morning, guests will be able to have breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Reservations required. Cost is $10. 706-865-2171 Ext. "0".

Milk and Cookies with Santa will be served in the Ballroom from 1 to 4 p.m., cost is $5. No reservations required.

The 35th Annual Tree Lighting with a brief Christmas program will take place from 4:45 p.m. to 5 p.m.
