One firefighter injured after battling mobile home fire

Late last night, dozens of firefighters responded to a call of someone trapped in a burning mobile home at the corner of Sandfort Rd. and Crosswinds Rd. in Ladonia. One firefighter was injured.

Firefighters from the Ladonia, Uchee Creek, and Crawford Volunteer Fire Departments battled the flames, one firefighter suffered minor injuries.

Crosswinds Rd. was shut down for over two hours as firefighters worked to extinguish the flame.

Information on the Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page confirms, that no one was inside the home at the time. The firefighter who was injured is said to be doing fine. The American Red Cross is assisting the three occupants who were displaced.

The house is completely damaged. There is no word yet on how that fire started.
