GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A woman and child suffered non-life-threatening injuries after their car collided with a wooden power pole in Glendale on Monday morning.

The crash happened about 4:50 a.m., and officers were trying to determine the cause, said police Sgt. Jay O'Neill.

The woman and at least one child were in the car when it hit the pole near 51st and Glendale avenues. The car stopped short of hitting a house in the area.

Crews were working to repair the pole while police provided traffic control around the scene.

No other information was immediately available.
