PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -

Authorities in Yavapai County are looking for two statues and the thieves who stole them from the yard of a resident.

The theft was reported to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office on Nov. 4.

The resident said a statue portraying a young girl sitting in a chair with a book was likely taken sometime in mid-October, YCSO said. The statue weighs between 150 to 175 pounds and stands about 3 feet tall.

The second statue was taken sometime over the weekend of Nov. 1 from the porch area adjacent to the front door of the home. The statue portrays a girl sitting in a rocking chair, sleeping with a violin in her lap. The size and weight are similar to the other statue.

Each statue is valued at about $1,500 and is about 8 years old.

People with information about the theft of the statues are asked to call the sheriff's office at 928-771-3260 or Yavapai County Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232. Refer to case number 13-037619.
