COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Columbus Cottonmouths delivered presents to pediatric patients on Tuesday.

It's an event they do every year as a partner with the Children's Miracle Network at the Midtown Medical Center.

The players handed out signed jerseys for the boys and Barbie's for the girls.  They also posed for pictures with their families.

We talked to the Cottonmouths goalie Andrew Loewen on how this affects their team.

"To shed some light on each individual kid is extremely special, you know, each family involved as well, to see not only the kids' eyes light up, but more importantly for the family to be surrounded by that love during some difficult times, it's really special for our team to be here," Loewen said.

The Cottonmouths will host their annual Guns and Hoses Night with a teddy bear toss this Friday at 7:30 at the Civic Center.
