MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

After University of Alabama kicker Cade Foster missed two field goals and another was blocked in the Iron Bowl, he received backlash and threatening messages on social media.

Foster's teammates and many Crimson Tide fans quickly rallied in support of the kicker. Now, one more person has been added to his list of supporters -- former President George W. Bush.

Foster posted a letter from the former president on his Instagram and Twitter accounts Wednesday.

The letter dated Dec. 3 reads:

"Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However, you will be a stronger human with time. I wish you all the best - Sincerely - another 43 George Bush."

Foster said in the Instagram caption that he's framing the letter.
