COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Twenty-four local students from 12 high schools in the Muscogee County School District received an early Christmas present Thursday in the form of unique scholarships.
This is the third year of the scholarship program from Barber's Driving School.
The owner, Alfred Barber, visited schools to present the driver's education scholarship to the award recipients.
The students were chosen based on their teacher recommendation and academic performance. This scholarship provides students with lessons to help them obtain their drivers licenses.
Barber is visiting Northside High School and Columbus High School on Friday to present their scholarships.
