AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Auburn police have arrested two suspects in connection to the deadly Sunday morning shooting at Jackie Lee's bar in Auburn. Shatarious Cobb and Shamon Williams, both 21, were arrested on Dec. 18 and charged with murder.
Two people were transported to the East Alabama Medical Center after being shot near Jackie Lee's bar in Auburn on Dec. 15.
When police arrived at the scene, they found two men in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. A third victim who was shot in the same incident arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle.
Marquez Patrick, 20, of Opelika died of his injuries. A 22-year-old from Auburn and a 19-year-old from Loachapoka were treated with non-life threatening injuries and released from the hospital.
The victim was out on bond after being arrested on burglary and theft charges in Auburn.
Police say an argument between several people sparked the violence.
Both Williams and Cobb were developed as suspects during the course of the investigation.
According to police, many people who were present during the shooting and/or the altercation after the shooting fled the scene.
