Police say they are investigating an accident that left one man dead and a passenger in the hospital.

Geneva Police say around 5:00 a.m. they responded to an accident on Al. 27, North of Geneva where they found 21-year-old Warren Tate Southerland dead as a result.

After investigation, police found that the Cadillac Escalade Southerland was driving left the road, striking some trees, traveled back across the roadway striking more trees before coming to a rest facing northbound.

A passenger inside the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other information is known at this time as police continue to investigate.
