Body shop owner gives away 300 bikes just in time for Christmas

What kid doesn't want a new bike for Christmas?

The East Coast Body Shop in Columbus made that wish come true for hundreds of kids just in time for Christmas.

Owner Chester Jackson gave away almost 300 bikes in the 2nd annual Music Essential Showcase. Families lined up at the store on Farr Rd. to pick out a bike for their children.

Jackson says he does this because he loves to give back to the community. He says he wants the youth to understand why it is important to give back to the community.

"This year we helped approximately 283 kids. Children that I don't even know their names, but because the community is involved, they played the part to give back to the child," says Jackson.

Many of the bikes given away were donated from people around the Columbus community.
