Birmingham PD responds to robbery call, finds gaming operation

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Birmingham Police Department says they stumbled upon an illegal gaming operation on Monday while responding to a robbery call.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Alton Road after receiving a report of a robbery in progress. After finding no evidence of a robbery, officers entered the building and found evidence of a gaming operation.

Officers confiscated 21 video gaming machines. One female has been taken into custody. No charges have been announced.
