PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

Two families who lost their home to a fire saw an unexpected miracle on Christmas day.

Riding in like modern day Santas, six motorcycles pulled up to the Hampton Inn in Phenix City to deliver joy and cheer to those families. The Buffalo Soldiers motorcycle club came together to help two families who lost everything when their home caught on fire.

"They lost everything, you know. They don't have no home and they're staying over here at the hotel. And so the thing that we can do, we tried to reach out to them and show them that, especially on this glory day of Christmas, that someone do care and that someone's still thinking about them. And the Lord upstairs will always send them a blessing," says motorcycle club member Emanuel Fuller.

Tablets, Easy Bake Ovens, bicycles and more were handed out to the happy children who lost all hope for a normal Christmas.

"I thought we wasn't going to have no Christmas tree. I thought Christmas was just going to be ruined this year. I didn't know what we was gonna do. I didn't know, I just didn't know. But when I saw that tablet and when I opened up that present I was like 'Thank God!'" said one of the girls.

The bike club members also supplied bags of clothes and a full Christmas dinner with a ham and all the trimmings. One mother says being with her family is the most important thing on Christmas, but the Buffalo soldiers made the day perfect.

"This let me know that everything's going to be okay. It doesn't matter the tragedy we went through, losing everything, nothing at all. To know at least today we have something," says Lynn Street.

The families were surprised again when they were presented with a check - money to help them get back on their feet.

Thanks to the Buffalo soldiers, this was a Christmas to remember.
